Prism Flow
Shape animated prismatic light waves with refraction, spectral color, and soft masks.

Prism Flow shapes an animated sheet of spectral light. Its surface bends through three-dimensional space, while the result is framed as a flat composition. Field modes place the wave across the center, along an edge, or in a wider halo. Curve and tilt controls reshape its path through the image.
The renderer builds the glow by sampling along a ray toward the moving surface. Each sample contributes light according to its distance from the sheet, while a repeating palette separates the accumulated glow into colored bands. Refraction strengthens the folds; Spread changes the color progression. Chromatic Split offsets the red and blue sheets, opening colored fringes around the same underlying form.
Soft elliptical masks control where that light remains visible. Each mask has its own position, proportions, rotation, and feathered edge, and overlapping masks combine into a shared visible region. This lets a broad wave become several isolated areas of light without changing its motion. A separate overlay reveals the mask boundaries while editing and stays out of the exported image.
Motion is calculated from Toolcraft’s timeline rather than accumulated frame by frame. The wave completes whole cycles within the selected duration, allowing the end to meet the beginning. Scrubbing moves directly to the corresponding arrangement. Still-image export uses that same timeline position and settings, rendering the selected moment at the requested output size.
